A 37-year-old Grand Island man was arrested on Christmas Day for firing a 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun into the ceiling of a local bar.
Javier Alex Quintero was arrested for unlawful discharge of a shotgun, use of a shotgun to commit a felony and possession of a short shotgun.
Hall County Court was not in session on Christmas Day or yesterday (Friday), so Quintero has not yet been charged.
Witnesses say Quintero walked into El Tucanaso bar around 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon and fired the shotgun at least four times into the ceiling in the restroom.
Grand Island police Captain Larry Trosper says there were patrons in the restroom at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.
