Bird Problems

For the past six to eight weeks, Principle Financial employees have put up with bird droppings on their cars and building.

Finally, the USDA was called in to chase away what one wildlife specialist says is the biggest flock of starlings he's ever seen. Tens of thousands of the birds are roosting near the Principle Financial building.

For the next three nights, wildlife specialists will be firing pyrotechnics at the flocks of birds to chase them away from the area.

The USDA says this tactic has worked with other flocks before, but they will have to wait and see what happens because of the amount of birds they are trying to relocate.
