Flags over city and county buildings in Kearney will be flown at half-staff Thursday to honor Sgt. Dennis Corral.

Thirty-three-year-old Corral died Jan. 1 in Baghdad when his vehicle went out of control and rolled. The Department of Defense said he was in a convoy to Baghdad International Airport.

The incident is under investigation.

The flag display in Kearney coincides with memorial services planned for Thursday at Fort Riley in Kansas, where Corral was stationed before leaving for Iraq.
