Police say they have made an arrest in the death of a 13-month-old Columbus boy.
Platte County Attorney Andrea Belgau says it appears Konnar Perry-Forney was killed by a blunt force to the head.
She says a final autopsy report may not be available for two weeks.
A representative of the County Attorney's office says Marjorie E. Walnofer of Columbus has been arrested on charges of felony child abuse.
Walnofer had been acting as the boy's babysitter. The 13-month-old was brought into Columbus Community Hospital on Monday evening after suffering an injury while in Walnofer's care.
Police were called to the hospital to investigate the child's injuries before he was flown to Children's Hospital in Omaha, where he died Tuesday.
A hospital spokeswoman said severity and extent of injuries determine when authorities are called to research the cause of an accident or incident.
Belgau says the boy's parents were not suspects in the case.
