Platte County Attorney Andrea Belgau says it appears Konnar Perry-Forney was killed by a blunt force to the head. She says a final autopsy report may not be available for two weeks.
Belgau said Thursday that Marjorie Walnofer of Columbus has been arrested on charges of child abuse resulting in death.
Belgau says Walnofer was acting as the boy's babysitter when he suffered an injury. He was taken to the Columbus Community Hospital Monday evening and died the next day after transfer to Omaha's Children's Hospital.
Walnofer is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 21.
