One bill to be debated Monday is Legislative Bill 172. Senator Mike Foley introduced this bill. It would end the requirement of school districts having to hand out written information about current Nebraska laws on abortion for minors.

Foley says, "The schools are required to inform students that there is a legal way to have an abortion without parents being notified.”

Senator DiAnna Schimek is not in favor of LB 172. She says, "There needs to be notification of the laws to the teenagers."

A vote could come as early as Monday, but not without serious debate.
