The National Transportation Safety Board has postponed a meeting that was set for Tuesday on a 2001 Nebraska school bus crash that killed four people.

Severe weather in Washington D.C. prompted the agency to postpone the meeting, shich has been scheduled for public comment, then a vote on the findings and probable cause and safety recommendations.

No new date has been set for the meeting.

Board spokesman Keith Holloway says a final report on the accident will be available in six weeks.

Holloway says the report is NOT intended to point blame, but rather to make suggestions to help prevent future accidents.

The Seward High School bus was on it’s way back from a band competition in Omaha in October 2001 when it struck a guardrail in a construction zone and plunged into a creek.

Twenty-seven people were injured in the crash on the west edge of Omaha.
