Law enforcement agencies continue to pursue leads throughout western Iowa and eastern Nebraska as the search for fugitive Michael McGuire intensifies.

The Nebraska State Patrol says their only solid lead so far came when McGuire placed a call to his lawyer James Martin Davis at his Omaha office. The Patrol declined to say where the call originated from, only that they are considering that location as a potential hiding place for McGuire.

Patrol captain Mike Jones tells 10/11 the last time anyone saw McGuire was in the vicinity of 25th and St. Mary's Avenue in downtown Omaha after he dumped the van used in the escape.
