George Avery died at the University of Nebraska Medical Center of massive internal injuries Sunday afternoon.
Police said the driver of a 1985 Dodge Diplomat T-boned the driver's side of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. A rescue crew had to remove a person pinned in the wreckage.
The driver of the Diplomat was not injured. Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
