A Dawson County Jail inmate has escaped from custody during transfer to Kearney's Richard Yound Hospital.

Authorities say 28-year-old Luis Fernando Martinez-Motino of Lexington was last seen about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. He is described as five-feet-seven, 178 pounds, with short hair and burn scars on both arms.

Martinez-Morino was originally held on Dawson county charges of first-degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, terrorist threats, burglary and theft by deception.

Authorities say he should be considered dangerous.
