Authorities have released the name of a 25-year-old Wahoo man who was killed in a collision this morning near Yutan.
Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz says Michael Shada was driving his car east on a county road a mile south of Yutan about 6:45 a.m. when he failed to yield to a northbound garbage truck.
The garbage truck smashed into the car's side, killing Shada.
Stukenholtz says the truck driver, 51-year-old James Christ of Ashland, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha with non-life-threatening injuries.
