Dr. David Hilger says women who are thin and have gone through menopause are most at risk to get Osteoporosis.
58 year old Verla Schenk found out she has Osteopenia. It could have been worse. If it had gone undetected it would have turned into osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is having low bone density. Hilger recommends 1500 milligrams of calcium a day.
He recommends that people under the age of 30 can help prevent the disease if they get their calcium daily.
Doctors say milk and calcium supplements are the easiest way to get your daily recommendation.
