A dead body is found floating in Holmes Lake late Thursday Afternoon.
The body was discovered by Parks and Recreation personnel working to clear dead fish out of the lake.
They went over to investigate what appeared to be trash. The discovered it was a dead body and called police.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue was able to recover the body.
"Preliminarily, it looks like it's a male. Right now that's all we know... it's suspicious but we don't know if it is accidental or how long he's been there," said Sergeant Ed Sheridan.
Police say an autopsy will be performed some time Friday.
