All seven Board members selected Dr. Susan Gourley as the District's next Superintendent.

Now, the Board must wait to see if Gourley accepts the offer.

Members say they had four great candidates and feel they picked the best one.

Currently, Gourley is the Superintendent of the Puyallup School District in Washington State. Prior to that, she was the Deputy Superintendent for Salem Keizer Public Schools in Oregon.

President of the Board, Keith Prettyman, feels confident that Gourley will accept the offer.

If she accepts, Gourley will be the first woman Superintendent for the District.
