The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said Jesse Castillo of Eagle lost control of his Ford Probe and spun into a westbound lane. The Probe was then struck by a westbound Ford Taurus driven by Marilyn Fox of Grand Island.

Castillo was ejected from the Probe and pronounced dead at the scene.

Castillo and Fox were taken to a Lincoln hospital.

Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor, and no charges have been filed.
