A North Platte charity has shut down after the arrest of its executive director on suspicion of theft.
First Call for Help is a telephone reference hotline for those to proper agencies who could help meet their specific needs.
Its attorney, Kevin Gaughan confirms the agency shut down after the arrest Friday of 31- year-old executive director Stacey for the hotline and using the money for personal purposes.
Gaughan says Merz was released on bond Friday.
An investigation by the North Platte police is ongoing.
