A fatal accident slowed Interstate 80 traffic in Omaha for several hours Thursday afternoon.
Omaha Police say 26-year-old Andrea Kersigo of Chalco was killed in the crash on I-80 near the 60th Street exit around 12:33 p.m.
Police say Kersigo appeared to be moving right to exit on 60th Street before the crash in the eastbound lanes. Then Kersigo's Dodge Neon swerved left across traffic and into the path of a semitrailer truck.
The truck struck the driver's side of Kersigo's Dodge, and she died at the scene. Police are still investigating the crash.
The left two lanes of eastbound I-80 were closed for more than two hours after the crash before reopening.
