A 29-year-old Chapman man has been arrested in a bomb threat that shut down a Grand Island business for more than three hours Wednesday afternoon.

Grand Island Police Captain Kerry Mehlin says Grand Island Accessories received the threat on a company answering machine.

Mehlin says company officials decided to shut down production and evacuate the building.

He says a Nebraska State Patrol bomb team searched the business and no bomb was found.

Mehlin says the former Chapman employee was later taken into custody on suspicion of threatening to use explosives.
