Nebraska's estimated unemployment rate decreased slightly to 3.9-percent in January, according to a monthly state Department of Labor report.
January's estimate is one-tenth of a percentage point lower than in December.
Labor Commissioner Fernando Lecuona said initial claims for unemployment insurance benefits also decreased by 17-percent from December.
The report said about 949,300 people were employed in Nebraska in January, while an estimated 38,200 people were unemployed.
