The House of Horses is a new business in Gage County. It is full-care boarding and training facility for horses that also can give customers the experience of working ranch life, trail rides, hiking, fishing, hunting or even cross-country skiing.
The operation features heated stalls and a heated riding area for year-round comfort. There is also a bunkhouse that sleeps four with a full kitchen and bath.
House of Horses is located in a brand-new facility constructed just for the business. The complex has 14 stalls, outside shelter and several hundred acres of pasture for grazing.
House of Horses owner Alan Thober does not buy and sell horses himself. He does help others find horses to buy, however.
Thober says he leaves the purchasing to others. His job, he says is to make sure the horse can do what the owners need it to once they buy it.
