Police have not identified the woman and said they were still investigating the incident.
Police say the woman was stuck by the engine of a westbound train just after an eastbound train had cleared the area.
Captain Robert Falldorf said the engineer told officers the woman was looking toward the eastbound train and may not have seen the westbound train.
