Holt County 21st Century Growers filed a lawsuit Monday in Holt County District Court.

Named as defendants are Randy Cruise of Pleasanton and his three family-based companies that built the plant, manage it and market the tomatoes.

David Domina - representing Holt County 21st Century Growers, said the lawsuit alleges Cruise misstated or overstated experience in the areas of design and construction of the facilities, managing the operation and marketing the tomatoes. He said the result was undisclosed financial losses.

Cruise did not immediately return a message left at his home by The Associated Press.
