Inspired by a photograph of Nebraska National Guardsman John Ayers hugging his daughter before being deployed, Brownie Girl Scouts from troop 081 decided they could do something.

The girls teamed up with South Pointe Pavilions to raise money for 13 cases of cookies, which they delivered to guard headquarters Thursday morning.

National Guard General Robert Bailey says the cookies will be shipped out over the next few days before arriving in both Iraq and Kosovo next week.
