A 41-year-old Hastings woman accused of not adequately feeding horses she kept near Holstein has pleaded innocent to 38 misdemeanor counts.
Rose Marie Arthur faces 19 counts of abandonment or cruel neglect of an animal and another 19 counts of having no animal health certificate.
A jury trial has been set fo July 12th.
Arthur was charged last month after a welfare check on the horses kept at a Holstein farm found two dead and 17 others seriously malnourished.
Authorities said the animals likely were being fed daily, but the amount was insufficient.
