The union endorsed three Democratic candidates in the election for Nebraska's congressional seats.

Matt Connealy of Decatur gets the AFL-CIO nod in the race for Nebraska’s vacant First Congressional seat.

State Senator Nancy Thompson of Papillion received the group's backing as she gears up to challenge incumbent Lee Terry for the Second District seat.

The group endorsed Donna J Anderson in her race against Congressman Tom Osborne for Nebraska's Third District seat.

The group also endorsed candidates for the Nebraska Legislature, the Public Service Commission, State Board of Education and the Nebraska Public Power District at a convention in Grand Island over the weekend.
