Twenty-three-year-old Michelle Landgren was sentenced Tuesday in Box Butte District Court after she pleaded guilty to attempted child abuse.

Authorities said Landgren deliberately burned her three-year-old daughter four times with a curling iron.

Landgren's two children, ages three and 15 months, remain in foster care.
