They balanced the budget and tackled some tough issues. The Legislature adjourned Thursday afternoon.
Senators say when they initially began the session, they where dealing with $250 million in debt they weren't anticipating.
Still they were able to pass 136 bills in this 60-day session.
Speaker Curt Bromm says, "We went and picked up as many of the controversial bills as we could in a 60 day session. You just can't get done everything you'd like."
Some of the more controversial bills passed include Governor Mike Johanns’ mental health reform and a bill that puts the issue of casino gambling in front of voters this November.
