Thursday Night House Fire
Lincoln, Nebraska A house fire causes $10,000 in damage to a WIC home.

WICS (Women in Community Service) Residence for teen girls caught fire Thursday night.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at 1935 D street shortly after 8:30 pm.
Deputy Fire Chief Bruce Sellon says the fire begain in the TV room and was contained in that area.
He said firefighters extinguished that fire and had begun the inspection when a second fire flared up in the kitchen/laundry area. Lincoln Fire and Rescue was able to get the second fire put out as well.
Eight girls live in the home with director/house parents.
Captain Peterson of the Lincoln Police Department said no arrests have been made and the fire inspector is still investigating. He said there is about $10,000 in damage to the home.

Its sad!! I know each and every girl that did it!! I hated WICS I swear i hated wics!! But no i dont think it was right for them to burn it down!!! I felt bad!! I apologize to Tauni!! & i wasnt even there at the time!! A week before i had lef the program!! It's sad!! I hope they can get back on there feet!!
