Pine Ridge Motorcycle Rally Returns

By: Associated Press
Updated: Sat 9:43 PM, Apr 24, 2004

The roughly 90 mile circuit runs over highways, unpaved county roads and off-road routes south and southeast of Chadron. The Dawes County Fairgrounds serve as the start and finish points. The first riders leave at 8 a.m.

Tomorrow's rally will be the 35th, with about 350 riders from 10 states expected to participate. That's down from the traditional 400 or so, but still makes it one of the biggest rallies on a multi-state regional circuit.

The Pine Ridge Enduro produces $5,000 to $8,000 a year. That money is donated by the cycle association to Chadron and Crawford community groups and projects.
