Lancaster County attorney Gary Lacey has charged 22-year-old Lucky Iromuanya with second-degree murder of 21-year-old Jenna Cooper. Cooper was a standout soccer player for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln team. Iromuanya is accused of firing the fatal bullet that hit Nolan Jenkins in the head and the same bullet then pierced Cooper's neck, which then traveled down and settled in the lung area.

Lacey says, "It's our theory, Lucky Iromuanya intended to kill Nolan Jenkins, but failed." The county attorney adds, "but succeeded to kill the UNL soccer captain."

Iromuanya faces four counts: second-degree murder of Jenna Cooper, attempted second-degree murder of Nolan Jenkins, and two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.

A county judge set a preliminary hearing date for May 13th and set Iromuanya's bond at ten percent of $1 million.
