LFR Responds to Gas Leak
Lincoln, Nebraska A gas leak at 1st and O street brought in Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Black Hills Energy.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a gas leak at 1st & West O street Thursday morning.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Bruce Sellon said that a refuse container hit a gas line at the Mr. Goodcents at 1st and West O at 2:25 a.m.
Sellon said that the refuse container struck the line which feeds the meters for all businesses in the area, including Mr. Goodcents. He said that fire crews arrived on scene and were able to turn off the gas by 2:35 a.m.
Sellon said that LFR crews inspected the inside of the building, taking readings on air quality and looking for signs of gas. He said that there were no gas readings and that Black Hills Energy repaired the damage.
