Norris Public Power District continues to restore power associated with the winter storm that struck southeast Nebraska on Monday.
As of 4:15 p.m. larger areas still without power include the following:
• Wymore/ Blue Springs west to SW 61st Road and W. Maple Road south to W. Pine Road
• Areas located north and south of the B-Line east from Blue Springs to S. 162nd Road
• West from Rockford to S. 23rd Road
In addition, we are aware there are a few scattered, individual outages throughout southern Gage County. The District will continue to work through the night restoring power. We expect less than 50 customers will be without power overnight. Customers currently without power are encouraged to continue to call for restoration updates and make alternate arrangements for shelter tonight. The District anticipates having power restored to all customers by Friday night.
We appreciate everyone’s patience with the restoration efforts. The District currently has over 85 men in the field working on restoration efforts from eight different public power districts as well as the Beatrice Board of Public Works and Schmader Electric.
