Lincoln Police arrested a woman for taking rent checks from tenants of a mobile home park and keeping them for herself.
Officer Katie Flood said 42-year-old Virginia Palomo was the manager at the Shamrock Mobile Home Court at 2545 Theresa Street until September 15th.
Flood said the owners of the mobile home park discovered three different tenants had been paying their rent to Palomo for three months without her putting it on the books; all three had receipts from Palomo.
Flood says the owners did not know about a new tenant that had paid a deposit and three months rent.
Flood said Palomo pocketed $2,700 in rent money. She was arrested Wednesday for felony theft.
