Kearney Offices Closed For Thanksgiving
Kearney Garbage collection schedules will be changed as Kearney city offices take two days to observe Thanksgiving.

News Release from the City of Kearney:
The City of Kearney offices will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Offices will reopen on Monday, November 30.
The Kearney Public Library & Information Center will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, and will reopen on Saturday, November 28, at 9:00 a.m.
Sanitation crews will be collecting garbage in the main business districts on Saturday and residential collections for Thursday and Friday will be collected on Friday.
The Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill will be closed on Thursday and Friday and will reopen on Saturday for waste until 2:00 p.m. and yard waste until 5:00 p.m.
The following changes will be in effect for the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill and the refuse collection system:
•Commercial businesses normally having garbage collection service on Thursday will be collected on Wednesday, November 25. Only those businesses in the main business districts of the City will have their garbage collected on Saturday, November 28.
•Residential refuse normally collected on Thursday and Friday will be collected on Friday, November 27.
•Residential curbside recycling normally collected on the 4th Thursday and 4th Friday will be collected on Friday, November 27.
•The Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill and Compost and Tree Site will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27. It will reopen on Saturday, November 28.
