The Missouri River bridge at Brownville in southeast Nebraska again will be closed for repairs.
The Missouri Transportation Department says it plans to close the bridge at 6 p.m. Friday and reopen it by 6:30 a.m. Monday. The closure will block traffic on U.S. Highway 136 between Brownville and the Missouri towns of Phelps City and Rock Port.
The bridge was closed earlier this month for similar work: strengthening steel plates beneath bridge girders.
Repairs began this fall and are expected to take two years to finish.
