A 20-year-old Omaha man is hospitalized after being shot by an off-duty police officer.
Police were called to Cheater's Bar in midtown about 12:15 a.m. Sunday to investigate a report of shots fired. The call came from two off-duty officers who were providing security at the bar.
Officers learned that one of the off-duty officers shot at a vehicle, which then took off.
About 90 minutes later, police were called to a residence where they found the man who was shot. He was taken to a hospital with a leg wound. He's expected to live.
Police said witnesses have not spoken to them.
Both off-duty officers have been placed on paid administrative leave during an investigation.

There's more info to this story!! The man that was shot brandished a gun. Which in turn the officer shot. Put more in your story so it's not so one-sided!!!
Appropriately, that bar was formerly named "Straight Shooters", before it closed and re-opened under "new management". It's still a dive, just like it used to be.
