The Huskers are dancin' in Dallas for the Big XII Championship game. With Nebraska's win over Kansas State, they'll face off against the South division champion Texas Longhorns.

It's the first time since '06 Nebraska will play to be Big XII champs. While last time the championship game was just down the road in Kansas City, still expect thousands to make the trip despite the distance.

"The fans are excited," said Steve Glenn, president of Executive Travel in Lincoln.

Executive Travel had two planes standing by even before K-State.

"We've had already about half a plane put down deposits before the game, anticipating they were planning on winning the game," said Glenn.

While it's always a thrill watching the Huskers play in Nebraska's shrine to football, Memorial Stadium, Dallas will be a chance to watch them play in what many consider the world's ode to the sport.

"You're also going to be in the multi-billion dollar Jerry Jones stadium," reminded Glenn.

Still, the distance will make it harder for some to attend compared to a KC based championship.

"I would really like to, but the money situation right now is really tight," said Husker fan Neil Melton.

"If it were in Kansas City it would probably be 40,000 [fans], but we think in Dallas we can get to 20,000," said Glenn.

Nebraska's ticket allotment to the game is 11,909. They range in price from $55 to $88 and go on sale to the general public Tuesday, Nov. 24th at 8 am.
