Customers and employees at Capitol Mitsubishi of Lincoln Used Cars are frustrated. The doors are closed and no one has been answering the phones.

Employees at Capitol Mitsubishi say they came to work Tuesday morning to see signs on the doors that read "Closed for Inventory" and several cars were being towed off the lot.

10/11's Erika Tallan and Chris Pavlish went to the dealership located at 6401 N. 28th Street and saw the owner open the doors to the employees and then saw the employees moving items out.

Dillons Auto, a nearby dealership, said dealerships do not close down for inventory because they would lose business.

10/11 News called Capitol Mitsubishi looking for an explanation and a woman answered saying "We can't give information at this time."

The Better Business Bureau gives the dealership an "F" rating.

The Attorney General's Office hasn't filed complaints against the dealership.

The Motor Vehicle Licensing Board says Capitol Mitsubishi hasn't surrendered its license.

Car dealers are car dealers. Car deals are car deals. All car dealers try to get away with what they can, and SO DO CAR BUYERS. True? Of course. So quit whining and learn how to buy a car. Ken's post about Blue Book and Gap costs - You signed the paperwork. You gave them permission. That has to be the case or the Board would have went further.

I bought a car there before they seemed to treat me fair. It concerns me a bit if they go out of business especially considering the poor employees that lose their jobs before christmas. Another story of big bank taking out small business we should all be concerned if they can do that to them they could do that to any of us.

It is pretty scary that banks have let down another small business, especially considering all the free federal money they are getting. Small businesses account for nearly 80% of the local taxes and an additional 63% of our employement if we continue to lose small businesses like this one we all have room for concern.

This place has always been crooked as the day is long? Yet one more entity using the name "capital" to instill confidence in the people. Like Lincoln, things are caught up in the 1970's.

I would like to say that Capitol Mitsubishi are nothing but con artist. I bought a car with stipulations of the contract being if my insurace was not suitable I would be granted my car Im trading in. My insurace on the new vehicle went up over $200 in a 6month term. I went back with the info and they called other insurace companies and said its all suitable. They ended up puting me in a different vehicle which they added GAP insurance without my consent and charge me $6,000 over blue book. I decided to hire a lawyer and sue Capitol Misubishi over a faulty contract, but the Nebraska Licensing Board saw nothing wrong with how they did business. This place can pick up and leave and never do business in Lincoln again with their con artist style of selling cars. Lincoln and the state of Nebraska should look closer at how they do business with all the complaints they recieve from customers and employees!
