The Husker football players took time out of their practice schedule to visit patients at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center Wednesday morning.
Junior quarterback Zac Lee said it was a great opportunity for the team to give back.
"It's fun to do it's a way of giving back for us. We get such great support here in Lincoln you know it's just a nice way to come out and hopefully brightens some people days," said Lee.
Patients and their families found the visit exciting and thought it brought good cheer around the holidays.
"Oh god she (her daughter) was sleeping and crying and kinda very uncomfortable and now she wanted to give high five's to everyone and everybody. This was huge, this was huge, I can't believe they did that. That's awesome," said Amanda Boltz, a mother of a child at Saint Elizabeth.

The players were at other facilities as well like Madonna, Bryan East & West. It is great that they do that for the kids, elderly, new parents and everyone alike. It is a great holiday tradition. Good luck tomorrow at Colorado!!
This is another example of the "class" our players have both on and off the field. "Great job guys" Good luck in Colorado.
