Allen Douglas, 59, formerly of Shickley, Nebraska, was sentenced for his failure to register as a sex offender.

On December 10, 2009, the Honorable Laurie A. Smith Camp sentenced Douglas to a thirty-three (33) month term of imprisonment. After his release from prison, Douglas will begin a 10-year-term of supervised release.

Douglas was convicted of Lewd and Lascivious Acts on an eight-year-old in California in 1994. Because of this conviction, Douglas has a lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender.

In June 2008, Douglas moved to Shickley, Nebraska. He failed to notify California authorities of his move. He failed to register as a sex offender upon moving to Nebraska.
