The Nebraska Army National Guard expects to have a record number of troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010.
About 1,300 Guard members are scheduled to be stationed overseas next year. Most will be in Iraq or Afghanistan, with 50 in Kosovo.
In the summer of 2006, the Guard had about 1,200 members in war zones -- the most serving overseas at one time.
Earlier this month, President Barack Obama ordered an additional 30,000 U.S. troops into the long war in Afghanistan, building to about 100,000 troops.
Nebraska Adjutant General Judd Lyons says it's too soon to tell whether that will impact deployments from the state.
