Workshop on Prescribed Burns Scheduled for Gibbon
Lincoln, Neb. Weather permitting, a demonstration burn will be held near Gibbon after a workshop on prescribed burns.

Weather permitting, a demonstration burn will be held near Gibbon after a workshop on prescribed burns.
The Nebraska Prescribed Burn Task Force has set the workshop for Feb. 2 at Rowe Sanctuary near Gibbon.
A news release from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says the workshop will teach landowners burning techniques and what equipment is available to conduct safe, effective burns.

Experts describe prescribed burns as a carefully controlled fire to enhance habitat, commonly used in farming areas to prepare land for planting.
