Authorities say a woman was fatally injured in a collision between a tractor-trailer and a car on U.S. Highway 77 south of Fremont.

The collision occurred a little before 8 a.m. Tuesday, about a mile south of Nebraska Highway 109, south of Inglewood and Fremont.

Cedar Bluffs Fire Chief Rob Benke says the woman was driving a southbound car that collided with the northbound truck.

Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz says fog was heavy at the scene, but he could not say whether it played a role in the crash.

Other crash details and the names of the two drivers are not yet available.
