Investigators are trying to determine whether foggy conditions caused a crash that killed a woman.
The crash occurred Tuesday morning on U.S. Highway 77 a few miles south of Fremont around 8 a.m. when the fog was heavy.
Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stuckenholz says the car the woman was driving was southbound when it collided with a semitrailer truck. The car was crushed.
The woman's name had not been released Tuesday evening.
Traffic had to be diverted around the crash, and Highway 77 was closed for several hours during the investigation.
