Free Cab Rides Home on St. Patrick's Day
Lincoln, NE To fight drunk driving, the Lincoln Council on Alcoholism and Drugs is offering 100 free cab rides for St. Patrick's Day.

People love to dress up in green for St. Patrick's Day, but the holiday is also known for its partying. In order to thwart drunk driving on Wednesday, the Lincoln Council on Alcoholism and Drugs has committed to paying for 100 cab rides home for people who have been drinking.
LCAD says the average cab ride costs $15, so they had to raise $1,500 through public donations and money from local companies.
