Tabitha Health Care Services announces Christie Hinrichs as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

The selection of Hinrichs was the result of an extensive search that began in April of 2010. Tabitha’s search committee contracted with Aureus Group’s Executive Division to manage the process that included 17 candidates participating in preliminary interviews and four finalists that were interviewed by Tabitha’s Board of Directors.

“Christie was selected for her outstanding leadership skills, her vision for the culture of Tabitha and her incredible ability to manage the operational complexities of our organization,” said Ken Broman, Search Committee Chair and Chair of the Tabitha, Inc. Board. “As a Board we are confident in her ability to carry out the mission and vision of Tabitha.”

Hinrichs has been serving as interim President and CEO since January 2010 and Chief Operations Officer since October 2007.

Hinrichs joined Tabitha in 1993 and served in numerous roles, including Hospice/Home Care Specialties Administrator until 2003. She rejoined Tabitha as Vice President of Clinical Services in May 2006, following serving as Branch Manager for Coram Healthcare and as Chief Operations Officer for the Nebraska Heart Hospital.

Hinrichs served on Tabitha’s Board of Directors from November 2004 to May 2006, she is a graduate of the Thrivent Fellows Program, and has participated in a number of community and professional boards including Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Partnership and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Hinrichs was selected by the “Lincoln Journal Star” as one of Lincoln’s Top 20 Emerging Leaders in 2002. In 1993, Hinrichs received her bachelor of social work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Hinrichs and her husband Matt have two daughters, Jordan and Jaylee, ages 19 and 14. They are members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. The Hinrichs family enjoys travel, kayaking, camping and spending time together.
