Several volunteer fire departments responded to a fire at 10100 Wittstruck Road in Roca, southeast of Lincoln Wednesday morning.
The fire was contained to a a shed that stores corn on an abandoned property.
According to the National Weather Service, parts of Eastern Nebraska have been elevated to extreme fire danger category. Southwest winds are gusting at 20-30 miles per hour. High winds combined with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s plus dry air increase the fire danger risk. NWS advises to avoid all outdoor burning.
