The body of man believed to be that of a missing North Platte man has been found in a western Nebraska lake.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Lt. Dan Newton said crews pulled the body from Sutherland Reservoir on Thursday night.

Newton says a fisherman discovered what officials believe is the body of 61-year-old Larry Sack, who has been missing since Sept. 2.

Sack's pickup and fishing pole were found along a canal leading to the reservoir on Sept. 4, and one of Sack's legs was found Sept. 13. Police say it had been severed by a boat propeller.

The body has been sent to Gibbon for a dental records match.
