A man's body has been found at the Scotts Bluff National Monument in the Nebraska Panhandle.
Sheriff Mark Overman identified the body found Sunday afternoon as 22-year-old Cody Bindschadler of rural Scottsbluff.
Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman told a local radio station that the body was found on a slope east of the walking tunnel at the monument.
Overman says an initial examination of the body showed injuries consistent with a fall.
An autopsy was completed Monday, but officials won't release his name until his identity is confirmed with dental records.
Scotts Bluff National Monument Superintendent Ken Mabery says there hasn't been a death at the monument in about 15 years. Mabery says the mood was somber at the park Monday.
