After a fire destroyed the Chapman Pump & Pantry on May 23, 2012 the Bosselman Companies are pleased to celebrate the opening of the all-new re-built store on Friday, February 15.
Students and staff from Chapman Public School cut the ribbon on the store Friday afternoon.
The store introduces the new “Hometown” building concept that the Bosselman Companies will utilize for future builds and remodels
"So I think it was a big hit to the community not having a store to go to and get the products they need. It was real important to us to get this store up and running again for the community," said Bosselman Companies President Charlie Bosselman.
Chapman residents say they are excited about the rebuild because now they don't have to go to Central City for simple things like a candy bar or gas. After the fire in May, they had no choice but to go the extra mile for some essentials.
"A lot of people were disappointed they had to go to Central city stores to get he things they needed. So residents are glad we are back, we are glad we are back too," said Assistant Manager Michaela West.
